I know it’s long and your attention span is shorter than this sentence, but if you are at all interested in how the Internet is changing the rules of secrecy and reshaping the media you watch this.

John Gormley trash talks Prairie Artists Against... →
During his radio show on Saskatoon’s CKOM, John Gormley, brought up the petition by the Prairie Artists Against Enbridge.
… “a bunch of these “artists”, and I put that in inverted commas, have written a letter to the National Arts Centre, because they’re calling themselves Performers Against Enbridge. See, Enbridge pipelines, being associated with this,...
Mubarak doesn’t get it - The Globe and Mail →
The abdication of leadership was shameful and total. Ludicrously, Mr. Mubarak took credit for the protests, saying the freedoms he allowed made them possible, despite laws that prohibit such assembly, and a record of suppression of organized political parties demonstrated as recently as this November’s parliamentary elections. He presented himself as a pharaoh figure, as the only...

13 Reasons Why Software Is Not Free →
I hate when people complain about paying for an apps. Most people seem to take good software for granted.
Personally I’d rather pay more for an aesthetically pleasing, well designed app than download a free app plagued with bugs and a horrible UI.

I don’t normally link to video game content, but this behind the scenes look at the sound editing and production of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is simply fascinating.

Five Emotions Invented By The Internet →
The state of being ‘installed’ at a computer or laptop for an extended period of time without purpose, characterized by a blurry, formless anxiety undercut with something hard like desperation…
The behavior equates to mindlessly refreshing and ‘lozenging’ the same sources of information repeatedly. While performing this behavior the individual feels a sense of numb depersonalization,...

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Beyond Vietnam"... →
In honor of Dr. King, Democracy Now! posted audio of his lesser known and highly criticized speech “Beyond Vietnam” in which he criticizes U.S. foreign policy.
I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented...
Twitter for Mac Disrespects Spaces
Since updating to Twitter for Mac 2.0.1 the application window no longer stays in the Space it has been assigned to. Despite being told that it should always reside in Space 4 it moves to whatever Space is currently visible. This is really annoying and I’m hoping that this video will properly document what is going on so Twitter can fix this in the next update.
For those of you (like...
